This very drinkable Amber Ale is lightly dry hopped with Liberty hops for a pleasant floral nose. English Crystal Malt provides a mild caramel body and a rich copper hue.

Not terrible, but my sample had a strange "dusty" aftertaste. I’ve had beers with dry finishes, but this is ridiculous. Light caramel and roated toffee flavors with somewhat timid hopping. Prettier looking than good tasting.

Bottle (beer of the month club): Looking at under light this beer shows a light brown with a small beige head that quickly fades to a small lasting ring. When held to the light, the body shines a totally clear mahogany. The aroma is floral, citrus, and lightly bitter hops, stale caramel, and light grains. As it warms there is a definite coffee/roast aroma hidden in there as well. The flavor is sweet caramel, sweet pale malt, quickly followed by a short medium floral & pine hops, then that is followed by toast, caramel, light & sweet fruit, and a very subtle hint of chocolate towards the end. The finish is bitter hops without flavor (ie no citrus/grass...etc), mild grains, and a hint of coffee further out. Light-medium bodied, medium carbonation, moderately dry.

poured a deep redish brown color with a off white head that seem to have really good retention. Aroma had a nice mix of caramel and floral hop notes. taste was initally sweet but had some wheat tones and a nice hop finish. really smmoth and full.

Pleasant aroma with hints of toffee and wood. Brown and transparent appearance with little and quickly fading head. Lively carbonation added to the palate. Flavor was smoky and moderately bitter. As the beer warmed, the flavor was enhanced significantly and seemed sweeter (I was probably drinking it too cold to begin with). Nice.

Extremely aromatic. Floral, caramel and perfume. Smells very good. Dark amber color with no head. Unfortunately it tastes like it smells...like perfume in water..chemically..with a floral and caramel aftertaste.

Out of a bottle. Aroma burnt malt slight caramel. Pours a dark brown to almost ruby. Taste was a burnt caramel and coffee ground bitter. Palate was thin and watery. Just okay.
