I have been all over the country and parts of europe being in the coast guard and this is probably one of the best amber ales I have had. It has a full flavor start with a very smooth ending.

Nice and smooth. Very sweet smelling, with the flavor, aroma, and texture extremely amazing for around $1 a bottle. No shame in that if you want a decent beer fairly cheap Cable Car is the way to go.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Winn DIxie Liquor Store - 12 oz bottle. Pours a light copper with a tight white head, slight glint to it. Sweet aroma, some maple syrup, root beer. Flavor has some candied sugar notes, a hint of caramel, ripening vegetables - reminds me a bit of a low budget marzen. Mouthfeel is slightly bland and gummy. Much better than the Cable Car lager I had a few months back.

Pretty disappointed by its unremarkable flavor. Seemed a little off-balance in my opinion, not enough hops. Surprised by its effervescence after opening it, as the carbonation wasn’t visible through the bottle. Not a repeat.

Clear amber color (like its name) medium white head, carbonated bubble not seen in the glass. Really plain smelling, slight amount of malt, faintly floral but not noteworthy at all. Medium palate kind of buttery on the tongue. Flavor is overly sweet like honey or a measure of sugar added to the wort. It doesn’t work, not enough hops to counter the malty sweetness. This beer is completely unbalance and amatuer. A so called "small batch" of mediocrity is not worth your attention.

$9.99 for a 12-pack at Winn Dixie. Whenever Winn Dixie has a beer on a promotional sale, it should give you pause. It actually turned out to be a fairly decent lawnmower beer. Clear pale amber beer with almost no head. Light, nondescript lager aroma. Its actually a waste of clean glassware to pour this beer, better to drink it straight from the bottle (twist-off cap, of course). Flavor is not bad for a cheap beer. Has a malty start with a faint caramel note, then a medium hop presence takes over to a fairly clean finish with only a light bitterness. Marzen-style? Maybe, but this is definitely not a Paulaner Oktoberfest we are talking about. After all, its from the same brewer that makes that ridiculous Bootie Lager. Besides, its hard to find a good lawnmower beer these days. This 12-pack should get me through the last couple of lawn mowings for the year just fine.

The aroma is malty with a tiny bit of toffee and citrus hops. The appearance is almost amber with a small but respectable head on it. The flavor is astringent with a bread like malt. The palate is OK but the finish is not good. The beer is not what an amber should be.

This beer is barely worth worth you time. malts have some burnt characteristics, yet the beer look too light for an amber and the rest feels a bit skunky. Watery palate and no finish.
