Had this beer while living in the UK back in ’96 and was introduced at the Old Banker in Epson while I had a beer drinking contest putting back 6 pints a piece against Andy the Pharamcist. Those were the good ole days!!!!! This beer has definatly lost much of the flavor it used to have and much more tinny- its a shame - then again still enjoyable with that Nitro head! I would have given the old beer a 4....... Borup (1359), Albertslund, Denmark

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Dec 18, 2006 A pseudo-Irish nitrogenated bitter now brewed in England but it could come from anywhere in Macroland, as frequent changes of brewer have demonstrated. As authentically Irish as Sean Connery’s accent in ’The Untouchables’. Looks as plastic-perfect as any nitro can - bronze with a fat mat of artificial cream. Typical indeterminate nitro aroma - bit nutty, bit fruity, bit metallic but doesn’t add up to much of anything. The creamy nitro mouthfeel masks the skinny body and the absence of any real flavour. There’s some hazelnut, highly diluted lemon squash and a few coppers. Minimal bitterness. No rough edges, making it very sessionable. Arguably one of the better UK/Irish nitro-brews but competition is weak. (440ml nitro can from Amatos. Best before 31/12/06) bridge (659), Sydney, Australia

Smooth, not much bitterness, aroma capped by the tight head, and pretty tasteless. "Boring, and watery", my wife’s comments say it all. DanBerg (59), Alkmaar, Netherlands

Creamy taste which also leaves a sickly feeling when finished, not great beer, but good.
