An aroma and flavour from raspberry(?). A bit sweet. LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark

However, the Irish nitrogen ales are beautiful: amber colour with a white, creamy head. The flavour was quite pleasantly malty, but too watery and forgetable. Maybe Oakes has a point regarding the smoothness. This is obviously relatively smooth but no way near a beer like Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout. 23/07/03: The draught version is fruitier and better. Rating adjusted. SilkTork (4189), Rochester, Kent, England

March, 2003: Dead beer pumped with nitro, served in a cinema bar while waiting for the film to start. I wasn’t being critical - I just drank it for what it was. It served a purpose and I finished the whole pint. It was mostly devoid of flavour and character and quality, but it was wet and smooth. Upped a few points, just for not being seriously nasty. [1.2]
Nov, 2003: Nitro-keg, Le Meridian Hotel, Heathrow. Acceptable if you don’t think about it. Not to be drunk slowly or in big gulps otherwise you’ll catch the tang of bad hops. This is all about smoothness and blandness and little thought. [1.3]
March, 2005: Nitro-can. Softly hopped and apple sweet beer pumped with nitro. Nothing like an Irish Ale. Mostly inoffensive with some plus and some minus points. [2.1] gws57 (1148), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2003 Dances like Guiness, smooth and drinkable like Guiness, lacks the nose and the rich color of Guiness. I would imagine that a drinker of Guiness would like this. Perhaps a non-drinker would like it more. Thick head, nose of white chocolate. Delicious and drinkable. jerohen (1615), Bussum, Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 23, 2003 Enormous head like in the picture. Perhaps the fact that i had been drinking beer for 12 hours had something to do with it, but i practically couldn't detect any flavors in this one. Nevertheless, it goes down very easy, i could drink it all evening. So i guess smooth is the right word indeed for this brew. ConiseurofBeer (241), Downingtown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2003 One of the lesser of the commerical Irish beers. I say this because it is not as strong tasting as the others. Very nice appearence and aroma, however I would not go out of my way to drink this beer. Chevboy (37), Millgrove, Ontario, Canada
