Commercial Description:
Pasteurised nitro-keg and nitro-can beer.
"A smooth, creamy ale." Introduced in 1994 as a 4.8% Irish Ale by Bass at Caffrey's Ulster brewery, and promoted strongly with an advertising campaign of "strong words softly spoken". Interbrew took over in 2000, soften the recipe and attempted to catch the lager market, using a new promotion of "a storm brewing". Coors acquired the brand in 2002. Initially contract brewed by Interbrew for Coors at Ulster, the brand eventually moved to Coor's Tower Brewery in Tadcaster.

A really rotten nitrokeg beer. The fact that this is placed in the 41.5 bitter percentile makes me worry about the taste of RB users as a whole. How can the American users think they make the best beer in the world when they love this and Sam Smiths?

Light & caramel notes. Some malts & little hops. Dark amber clear with silky lacing white head. Watery with almost no carb. Weak watery malt taste. Light bitter finish & after. Refreshing & light. Good session beer.

Dark orange in colour. Light aroma of caramel malt, slightly sweet. Light body and mouthfeel. Flavour is weak with just a bit of caramel sweetness. Finishes quick.

A nice, easy drink. The uk version has recently been reduced in strength which has made it a lighter tipple.

This is one of my top 5 favorite beers. Creamy head, smooth taste and wonderful appearance.

One of the better bitters, but shame about the price

It just LOOKS so cool..I’d buy a pint of this just to watch it settle :) Thankfully, its a pretty good beer when you drink it as well. Smooth and tasty.
