| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Opaque black in colour with a decent tan head. Roasted malt and sweet, milk chocolate aroma. Fairly light mouth feel, with some thin roasted malts, almost ashy, more sweet lactose chocolate, and a dryish finish. Tailed off a bit after a very good first inmpression, but still drinkable. Good. RichardGretton (3166), Leicestershire, England

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 18, 2009 500 ml bottle courtesy of a trade with cgarvieuk. Pours black with a moderate off-white head that lasted into mid-glass and laced the glass well. Very pleasant aroma of chocolate, hazelnuts, roasted malt, and coffee. The flavor steps back from the aroma just a bit and while still flavorful, lacks in depth. Flavor elements include chocolate, roasted malt, and a bit of ash. The finish is fairly dry but not at all bitter. Light on the palate, particularly for a stout. Considering the low abv, this is a very well done stout and is very sessionable.
