Cask & Bottled (Filtered), Seasonal, Autumn; BLESSED THISTLE – 4.5% ABV "Thistle Beer" from Cairngorm Brewery. A reddish brown ale, bittered with thistle and late Goldings hops. Hints of roast malt and fruit finish this most complex of beers.

Bottled @ Peckhams Beerfestival. Amber coloured brew. Aroma of caramel malts. Flavour of caramel malts, nuts. Didn’t get the ginger.

Bottle. Deep red copper with a lacing head. Buttery toffee aroma, repeated in the flavours. Overall on the sweet side. Cannot say I noticed much of the thistle, and that was a bit disappointing.

Bottle at YNWA. Clear dark red/brown - white head. Sourness, buttery, diacetyl, berries, light bitterness, light hoppy, light roasted notes, fruity, grassy.... øv igen.
