Pours clear golden with a decent sized just off white head that provides fair lacing. Aroma is caramel malts with a faint vanilla tinge. Tongue is smooth bittersweet buttery malts with a soft bitter hop finish and a faint burnt aftertaste. lt is light to medium bodied with a low carbonation and an easy drinkability. I thought the sweetness was spot on. A pleasurable refreshing Golden Ale for that Summer barbeque.

Clean golden body, short-lived white foam.
Sweet malt on the nose, golden syrup-like. Slight hint of smoke and soap, which is a bit odd, and some pleasant floral and light citrus hops.
Carbonation is somewhat low and soft on the tongue, body is oddly full, chewy, bulky, texture a tad flabby and oily.
Malty upfront; cereally, light caramel, faint roastiness and peat-like smokiness; quite sweet overall. Quite fruity from there on; pears, apples, mandarin-like citrus with a bit of herbaceousness and spice that linger on a moderately bitter finish.
This is certainly a wierd beast. Probably a bit too sweet and unbalanced for my like, but the flavour is intriguingly complex and quite tasty. Totally not what I expected. mkel07 (526), Brisbane, Australia
