Commercial Description:
A true gem – rich in color and taste; heavily hopped, but so smooth that even non-hop-heads love this beer!

Not quite an IPA, not quite a true ESB, not quite bitter enough for my taste.

On tap at Calapooia in Albany, OR--Poured a golden-amber body with a small swirly whitish head. Nose was quite hops-laden. Biscuity, crisp and citrusy. Very nice hoppy take on the style. Not as sweet or earthy as a traditional ESB, but quite delish!

Aroma – Lots of malty aroma the hops where very light.
Appearance – Golden Amber in color, Nice light head and clear.
Flavor – Good ESB flavor this was malty with a nice amount of hops the beer was flavorful and decent.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, good texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A decent ESB with some good bitter flavors this was buttery with a nice overall flavor for the EBS crowd.

on tap-pours a retaining thin off white head that laces and hazy gold color. Aroma is mild medium malt, faint flat hops. Taste is medium malt-caramel, faint flat hops/some citrus, some bitterness. Mild carbonation.

On tap at the brewery. This beer tastes like a slightly stronger version of their Aft Pale. Herbal citrus hops, strongly bitter. I didn’t find this malty enough for an ESB, the hops overwhelmed, lacked the earthy malt ESB quality.
