Nose was quite hops-laden. Biscuity, crisp and citrusy. Very nice hoppy take on the style. Not as sweet or earthy as a traditional ESB, but quite delish! BrewDad (2393), Olympia, Washington, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 8, 2007 On tap at the brewery. This beer tastes like a slightly stronger version of their Aft Pale. Herbal citrus hops, strongly bitter. I didn’t find this malty enough for an ESB, the hops overwhelmed, lacked the earthy malt ESB quality. HopDevil1979 (117), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 4, 2007 This ESB poured dark amber at Portland’s Beer, Wine and Cheese Fest in the convention center. It had no head, but that’s OK, because it was very nutty tasting and refreshing. Nicely done ESB. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA
