Copper pour, low head and light lace. Hoppy beery aroma. Light carb, very hoppy and sweet with a light caramel fruity taste. A bit of vanilla and a little bit of woody hops in the after, tasty!

A Mes rate. Can at Borefts 10am day after hotel tasting.
Amber colour with a decent off white head. Middle of the road caramel malty stuff. Slightly astringent hops, and plenty of fruit in the finish. A little boring but decent enough.

Can poured a clear amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness, light earthiness and light biscuit. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of biscuit, fruittiness, carmel and light earthiness with a smooth lingering moderatly bitter carmel finish.

Can 12fl.oz. @ post Borefts BF 09 hotel tasting
Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, light heavy hoppy, flowers, citrus, orange, licorice notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20091031]

12oz can. Pours a bright clear amber color with a fizzy off white head. The aroma has biscuit malts, brown sugar and some faint hops. Tastes of bread, toasted grains, caramel, lite citrus, and an earthy and grassy finish. Medium in body with good carbonation. Clean nice bitter finish. Very session worthy amber.

2009 Can - Pours a clear lt amber with a large beige head...aroma is roasty malt and hop flowers, light caramel, grain...flavour is similar, dry grainy malt, lemon, earthy bitters, cocoa?...not my fav style-wise, but his was easily drinkable...

Can: Instant aroma of citrus fruitiness and caramel malt as soon as the can was cracked. True amber color with an ample creamy sand colored head. Tastes maltier than expected with a deep earthy bond to the floral hops. No citrus, like the nose would have suggested. Lingering bitters are bright, but not obtrusive. A downright drinkable amber from a can.

THOUGHTS: Nice. Rather British. My can said 5.4 ABV not 5.6. TECHNICAL: Can. Poured a medium, ever so slightly cloudy, slightly brownish amber with an average, off white head that kept a thin sheet. The aroma was moderate toasted, nutty caramel malts; light floral hops and a little lemon. The initial flavor was sweet, slightly acidic and ever so slightly bitter; while the finish was lightly acidic and bitter. There was caramel, toasted and nutty malt, a little roasted malt, herbal and earthy hops, and a little tea and lemon, and then some herbal and earthy hops. The light to medium body was a little syrupy and then ever so slightly dry with tingly carbonation and a light to moderately astringent and slightly metallic finish.

Can at post Borefts BF 09 tasting. Amber, lasting beige head. Good malty amber malts, easy drinking hop. Interesting enough to make you want more, not so intense you couldn’t drink a case of it. Good. Just the kind of thing to take with you fishing and drink all day.
