BückDich (4525), Boise, Idaho, USA Mar 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Caldera Brewery, Ashland Black with ruby edges, rich coffee nose and flavor, very smooth with an earthy and oaky finish. Major thanks to the brewmaster for letting us taste these at the brewery when he was already busy. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 9, 2005 Black with a thick tan, rocky head and thick lacing. Strong roast and chocolate. Some pepper. Coffee. The flavor is very similar yet the roast and coffee stand out a lot more. Bitter hops. Thick bodied and bitter finish of roast.
