Caramel and hop flavours. Delicious. I really enjoy the blending of styles in the PNW. I want a keg of this at home. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 1, 2006 What a great beer! Deep copper coloring almost red with an off white sticky head. Aroma is fruit and almost akin to walking into a flower garden. Sweet and floral throughout, with a rich and sweet maltiness that is creamy and nutty, with some great doughiness and a nice hop level as well. Just this side of wonderful. stchloe (491), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2004 This is a great hoppy brew, a bit too hoppy for an amber. Pours a slightly cloudy copper with a tall smooth white head. Lots of citrus hops, slightly spicy with just a bit of maltiness in the aroma. Taste starts with just a quick malt hint then finishes with a great citrus hop dry finish. The dryhopping really allows this brew to be refreshingly hoppy without being overly bitter. A great brew for some easy drinkin. SamuraiArtist (292), portland, Oregon, USA

Aroma of slightly fruity malts and citrusy hops. Flavor is moderately malty and has notes of fruity esters, moderate hop bitterness and citrus and floral hop flavors, i am picking up some amarillo. Very clean and very crisp. Nearing ipa levels of hops. Just a very good and drinkable ale. ndubs360 (114), portland, Oregon, USA

This beer was nice and subtle. Hints of toffee and grass. the hops made themselves known before fading nicely into the matiness of the beer... good red ale. frylock (1027), Buffalo, New York, USA

Fruity hop aroma with a hint of caramel. Fresh hoppy flavor with some slightly toasty malt and caramel flavors balancing it out. Flavor is primarily hops though. Very tasty and hoppy rendition of a Red Ale, could possibly even be considered and American Strong Ale.
