pint_size (1004), Austin, Texas, USA May 2, 2008 5-1-08 can thanks to Beerzach!
Amber orange medium pour with a nice big soapy white head and small speckled lacing everywhere. Smell is bright and clean hops - almost like green apples and grapefruit up front. Flavor is nice and bitter citris hops. Finishes dry and clean. This is bright and balanced - a nice treat for the palate. Overall, a great treat for me - bitter and dry and yummy!
DYCSoccer17 (2040), Davis, California, USA Oct 9, 2008 12 ounce can purchased at the Davis Food Co-op. Aroma has some nice crystal malts present. Kind of sweet. There is also a significant amount of hempy herbal hoppiness in there, too. More sugars retronasally. Transparent copper body with a nice, frothy, off-white head. Starts a little acidic, actually. There is some peppery, spicy hop flavors to begin, with a griany, roasted malt middle. This finishes kind of dry with some bitter, piney, and grapefruit hops. There is also a little ethanol flavor to finish as well. SuzyGreenberg (1028), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 30, 2008 12 oz. can - pours amber and crystal clear; huge, frothy white head takes a bit to settle; raw, pine and fruity hops; aromas are rich and thick; pretty bitter, but lots to the body as well so it has a rich texture to it; drinks very smooth and not too resinous; tons of hops here though and a great IPA overall oh6gdx (6335), Vaasa, Finland Sep 30, 2008 Canned. Amber colour, huge beige head. Aroma is fruits, flowery hops with mild notes of barnyard and pineapple. Flavour is harsh grassy hops with mild fruityness. Fruity and caramelly aftertaste. Papsoe (10386), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2008 (Can 35,5 cl) Clear warm amber golden with a tall and dense off-white head leaving some laces. Very fat and peachy hop aroma. Medium-bodied with sweetish caramel and an aromatic hoppiness that add a solid hop bite. Very well crafted. 180908 omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 25, 2008 Canned at Stockholm Beer Festival. Deep golden with firm head. Sweaty hoppy nose. Interesting hop flavour combination of lychee, hay and sweat. Fairly soft with medium bodiy and dense chewy malt structure. Very bitter finish. A well made beer throughout. The powerfuk hops are nicely carried by the rich malt.
