Jan 10, 2007 Any first impressions?
-A veil of foam dissipates into the peachy ochre.
-Caramel maltiness and underlying toastiness announce an all-malt affair.
-The same fruity caramel is found once tasted, this time emboldened by some vanilla.
-The lean maltiness and very low carbonation make a soothing mouthfeel.
What if you dig deeper?
-The sweet, relaxed finish appears to be hopless.
-This is ridiculously easy to drink, rendering water to uselessness.
-A simple and effective scottish ale (or sweet bitter, if you prefer) for those days when you don’t care about hops anymore.

Nov 30, 2006 (Cask at Adam & Eve, Westminster, London, 24 Nov) Dark brown/mahogany colour with hints of amber, frothy off-white head. Malty, nutty nose with caramel and a fresh spicy hop aroma. Malty, nutty taste with hints of berries, chocolate and a balanced spicy hoppiness in the finish. Tasty, but slightly thin.

Oct 13, 2006 Deep copper colour with a thin white head. Malty, sweet aroma with a vague chocolate note balanced with a light hoppyness. Malty and fruity flavor with a light bitter hoppy finish.

Sep 10, 2006 Cask, The Criterion, St Andrews. Dark chestnut, thin white head. Slightly cloudy, malty, creamy and chocolatey, sweet aroma. Flavour is very fruity, hops and malt. Sweet finish, with a taste of cigarette ash. Slightly dry. Don’t think this was particularly well kept, but still a nice ale.

Aug 15, 2006 Cask @ Moulin Inn, Moulin. Dark chestnut colour. Very creamy mouthfeel, but a little watery. Mild malt flavour.

Jun 19, 2006 Dark amber almost tawny body, at first it tasted good but then as you got into it it was a bit thin, caramel and butter notes and not much else.

Apr 13, 2006 Cask. Full bodied nutbrown colour. Limited white creamy head. The beer is very creamy and full bodied.. Aroma is spicy and a weah hops smell seeps through. Taste is bitter from hops with a citric edge. Taste ends on a high note of spices (mostly coriander)
