500 ml bottle. Amber coloured with a slight off-white head. Easy drinking with aroma of caramel and red fruit followed by more malty flavours and a decent dry finish. Not bad.

Bottlerd. Rubyish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is hops, some caramel and slightly salted notes. Flavour is slight roast, some fruits and a bit of grass. Very dry palate. Still a pleasant beer in most ways.

Can. Russet brown sounds good if it is more brown than the red picture here. Thin head. Light malty almost peaty earthy aroma. Light body but big malty taste. Peaty with a hint of smoke. Some wood notes and a trace of sweetness. Mild and pleasant. Could drink a few...

Dak brown, slight red hints in color. Medium sized light brown head. Bready aroma with rye and lemon, some hops and mild chocolate, vegetable also there. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is somehow watery with also this rye, grains and flowery hops. Also this tangy vegetable in aftertaste. Complex, pretty weird beer.

From can. Good amber in colour with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, little rich, hint of honey. Fruit and spice and a bit of nuts all in the flavour. Good bitterness. Oily texture. Not a bad beer.

Bottle, Luvians, St Andrews. Didn’t realise something as simple as this was a new rate! Coppery colour with a thin off-white head that fades fast. Maltiness in the nose, some winter fruits, some tartness in nose. Taste is more maltiness, slightly more fruit than expected, some bitter balance towards the end. Palate is much the same, maltiness and some caramel. Bit too gassy, slightly less heavy than the cask variety, but the carbonation meant I felt more bloated after this.
