Bottle from Morrisons. Poured with a small white head which quickly cleared leaving a chestnut body. A rather flat, standard, bitter, with the malt too evident.

Pours light brownish amber with a thick foamy tan head and a rolling nitrous pour. Aroma of light toasted malt, with very little else due to the nitrous muting. Taste is lightly toasted, caramel, and sweet foam. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with lush, foamy carbonation.

500 ml can: Pours a maple syrupy colour with a white head. Some lacing is evident. Has a pleasant mild hops aroma. Smooth on the palate with a syrupy sweetness. Finishes with a well balanced hit of sweet hops. Quiet an enjoyable brew.

On draught at theThe Three Lions, Sarnia, Ontario. Pours dark reddish-brown colour with a terrific head that stays. Smooth, with a touch of caramel flavour and nice finish. 80 Shilling is a good one.

Canned sample. Dark amber - light brown in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of mild fruit, minerals, and a bit of chocolate. More mild fruit in the mouth along with notes of roasted malt, a bit of caramel, and some interesting fruity-earthy hop combo. Medium body. An above average canned bitter. A nice surprise from the Kenora LCBO.

Bottle picked up at Waitrose, Witney, 10th July 2006. Standard brown bitter, aroma a bit fruity and malty which is also a reasonable description of it’s flavour some hops present but overall a bit safe and not too exciting.

Medium creamy offwhite head. Chestnut brown body. Resiny floral hop aroma. Taste is sweetish smoked malts, quite mild, with a strong resiny, floral hop background. Aftertaste is sweetish smoked caramel malts. Quite good. (0.5l bottle.)

A soft light and medim CO2 head. Amber colour, rather sprakling to the eye a well balanced apperance. A soft sweetish sense going off with a bitterness, rather complex on the tongue. It has significant hop flavour enhanced by roast barley bringing a fire-like taste in your mouth.
