I’m such a sucker for a good amber ale. Whats not to like about a beautiful amber red beer with light carbination bubbles and a white head? As the name implies there is plent yof hops in this one, and the malts are only found with your nose. Finish is a little bitter, but overall a pleasant for my palate.

Amber coloured, thick white head. Malty aroma, slight acidic. Fruity flavour with some hoppiness sensible. Medium bodied. Malty in flavour. Somewhat dry finish.

500ml Can: Pours surprisingly light brown with light streams of carbonation. Malt, hops, and a sweetness in the aroma. Flavour is oddly complex, but quite heavy on the hops. Issues a somewhat nutty undertone. Expect some cotton-mouth, courtesy of those hops. A good bitter to my taste.

Had this on tap on a Ferry to Orkney so it might not have been very fresh. Nice looking colour in the glass with a slight creamy head. Smelled malty but tastes of nothing. Watery taste in it. Quite Bitter

Copper-colored with a whiteish head that get thinned but which leaves some laces. Aroma of hops, mixed in excellent balance with chocolade, caramel and malt. Taste of burnt malt. Dry. smooth body. Maybe there is a hint of the taste of dust in it? The bitterness becomes more noticeable in the aftertaste. Bottle.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal, Stavanger. Amber to brown colour, large off-white head. Moderate malty aroma, slightly sourish. Flavour is also moderately malty with low bitterness, fairly dry. Mouthfeel is "dusty" and slightly sourish, not very rich. Drinkable, but better cask conditioned.
