Mild aroma of malt, floral hops, fruit and a touch of smoke. The flavour is also mild and for the most part follows the aroma. Body is creamy but it’s too thin. I found this beer dissapointing, it does down smooth but I don’t much care for the taste -- I imagine it’s better on cask. shoestring (187), larkhall, Scotland

Dark copper body with light carbonation and a thin but lasting off-white creamy head. Light malty aroma with hoppy, roasty, and caramel notes. Well balanced hoppy taste with malty and roasted cereal hints. Ends with a fair bitter finish. Average Ale. harrisoni (6830), Ashford, Kent, England

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2005 Bottled. A dark brown beer with a tan head which is quite large at first but does thin out. The aroma is qoty, toasty and malty; oatcake biscuits spring to mind. The taste is also very malty and oaty. A tasty beer but the mouthfeel is too thin. Suprisingly I’ve scored thi higher than the cask version. hughie (3075), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
