The aroma is sweet malty with caramel notes. The color is dark amber and it has a beutiful beige head. The flaver is sweet malty with loads of caramel malt and notes of straws. A really nice version of a Scotch 80/- I could drink a lot of these.

(Bottle 50 cl) Light brown, clear ale with a pretty high carbonation and rather absent head. Extremely soft - in spite of the high CO2 - soft water? Pronounced malt-character and a touch of nuts. Has a somewhat odd tart edge. 220604

50 cL bottle. Pours golden, clear and deep amber/brown with a lacing off-white head. Dry breadish malt aroma. Flavour is dry malt breadish, slight dusty and followed by a light fruity acidic hops flavour. Goes into a mild bitterness and light acidic/citric touch.

Bottle 50cl.
Clear medium amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty, dusty, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (130908)

Bottlerd. Rubyish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is hops, some caramel and slightly salted notes. Flavour is slight roast, some fruits and a bit of grass. Very dry palate. Still a pleasant beer in most ways.

This rating is for the nitro-keg version we get here in Toronto. It’s decent in bottle, but not on nitro.

(1 pint bottle, labeled Amber Ale) I don't know for certain, but it seems to me that a British beer with a label that doesn't list the volume in milliliters is a pretty old bottle. No date on it though. Minimal head atop a hazy chestnut body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some peat. Taste is mild, somewhat sweet, caramel, some roasty, not much in the way of bitterness. Finish with a mild peaty sensation. Watery light-medium body containing minimal carbonation.
