Pours a reasuring plae hue with a thick white head that climbs out of the glass. Aroma features heathery hops a touch of fresh red apple, and a touch of barley sugar. On the palate there is a dry barley sugar note, loads of heathery hop flavour and a chewy mouthfeel all leading to a smooth bitterness.

500 mL can. Copper orange with a small head which quickly fades to a film. Nicely balanced aroma with brown sugar malt and sharp citrus hops. The flavour is also nicely balanced, but mild. It is fruity (grapefruit, grape), malty sweet, and finishes with a slight bitterness It’s a little light on the hops for an IPA, and a little heavy on the carbonation for a bitter. A good beer, nonetheless. Quite drinkable.

500mL can purchased from LCBO in Toronto. I think I remember enjoying this beer during my year in the UK in 2001, but this example is making me doubt my fond memories. Appearance is light and clear and bubbly. Aroma is non-existent. Flavour is weak with just a tiny hint of fruitiness. Glad I only bought the single can.

sweet malty aroma, slight english hops, and some caramel tinges. Flavour is hoppy, and caramel, with some biscuit malt flavours. A good bitter, refreshing, and very drinkable. good session ale.

Can. Pours a clear bubbly gold with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma of floral hops, sweetness, fruit and biscuity malt. Flavour’s nice and refreshing but a little watery. Dry and crisp with Golding hops, biscuity malt, some citrus, sweetness, grain and a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Not bad at all, I enjoyed it.

Can (500ml). Clear bubbly gold, slight amber tint, average frothy white head. Aroma of Goldings hops and oily cereal grain. The taste is pretty damned good - crisp canola grain and dry herbal hop bitterness, very nice. Dry, light mouthfeel, a little oily on the palate, good low-level carbonation and a fairly long dry bitter finish. I’ll get this one again - if the cans are fresh.

500ml can - pours clear golden with a medium pure white head. Looks nice, looks like beer. Aroma is sweetly floral and hoppy. Smells "soft". Flavour is quite hoppy, a little citrusy, with a nice spiciness that lingers near the back end. Fruity and extremely drinkable. Bitterness is low, but the hop character of this beer still shines through. Sort of stradles that vague middle ground between a pale ale and an IPA. Actually, it’s fairly pilsner’ish. I like it though...quite a bit.
