| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Pours a clear golden colour with a thin white fizzy film. Aroma is malty caramel, and floral hops. Flavour reflects the aroma bang on with some malt caramel sweetness upfront and a touch of hop bitterness in the finish. Tasty. However the palate really hinders this beer with its watery mouthfeel, and short lived aftertaste. This beer is still quite drinkable however, probably a good beer to get people started on IPA’s. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Updated: Sep 16, 2007500 ml can - pours clear straw gold with a small white head that fades quickly. Aroma of some nice hops and a decent amount of malt sweetness. Flavour fairly benign, though there are some nice floral hops in there and a black pepper burst at the back of the palate. Enjoyable and drinkable, certainly. Aroma gets sweeter as it warms and flavour gets more fruity. Good, though probably not something I’d get again. The next step up from Wells "IPA". | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 30, 2007 (Bottle) Pours golden with a white head. Fruity, light citrusy and hoppy aroma with tones of flowers, oranges and orange peel. Malt brings toffee, cookies and some mild caramel. Maybe a touch of apricot. Creamy malt flavour with a fat cookie malt profile, also some toffee tones are present. Hops bring flowers and citrus flavour wise. Light sweet and light citric bitter. Light to medium dry. Light crisp finish and a rater soft mouthfeel. Nice, but without any surprises. screwball (802), Motala, Sweden

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Bottle at JanHein’s. A nice bitter. Quite prickly. More of an ale in terms of flavours. Citrusy with a smooth finish. Maria (6303), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Nice and golden with notes of malt and hops. The flavour has notes of hops, fruit, flower and malt, and it has a light bitterness that isn’t nearly enough in a good IPA. Harmless, but not true to the type.
