Hoppy palate, good malt backbone, slightly bitter finish. Lower alcohol, but big flavour. Very nice. Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 20, 2005 I cannot understand why they increase the alcohol content in this guy to 4.4 insted of the cask 3.8, as it makes it nearly a completely different beer. Anyway suprisingly similar to bottled cali 80, in almost every may, just less malt. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Orangey golden or pale amber - whatever you prefer. Almost no head. Lightly floral nose. Incredibly lovely flavours from the aroma hops, but not really overly hoppy. Actually the bitterness is rather subdued. Slightly sweetish, caramel-like notes. Very delicate and easy to drink. 160605 yalnikim (785), Wellington, New Zealand

Bright orange gold. White airy head that thins out slightly. Low carbonation delivers only the occasional bubble. Oranges and candy sweetness on the nose. A hint of spice and a graininess once I get into the drinking. Juicy fruit and malt flavour with a slightly citrus bitterness. A little watery. Light-med mouthfeel with a clean dry finish. I’d muchprefer this to Tui as the most well known IPA in NZ, even if it’s a little subdued for an IPA. Hawksfan17 (718), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2005 London - Light hops scent, the hops are kicked up in the taste which I liked, nice and smooth. It is a copper color that looks quite nice in the glass. Stew41 (1057), Caulfield, Australia

Medium to light palate weight. Chalky flavours, mineral, some nettles, medium hop finish. Subtle beer but has very good structure. Mockba (78), Denmark
