A fruity nose, with slightly malty notes. Bigger in the mouth than I expected, smooth and well balanced, hops slightly to the fore. A very nice smooth beer, good finish, must be said though, draught is better. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA

Slightly sweet, malty and delicious beer. Had it served cold and was pretty damn good... would be unsure of it in cask form. hughie (3081), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

I found it very refreshing after digging in the garden. It looks a picture. The honey aroma is distinct - actually it’s more like the smell of fresh honey being harvested from the hive. Taste of lemon and good dryness at the finish. albert007 (412), Penobsquis, New Brunswick, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 10, 2005 Wetherspoons, Glascow. Hand pulled. Cascading white head. Golden color, decent lacing. Alright hop presence, but could use some more. Smooth slightly sweet malty taste. Good session beer. SimonLarsen (210), Sydney, Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 31, 2005 Big old fluffy head which dissipates leaving thick remnants and lacing. Smells of honey. Tastes of thick honey malts with neglible bitterness and a finish with a hint of beeswax about it. Nice and pleasant beer. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2005 Brown bottle, golden ale. Initially, this had a musky brothy aroma, but that gave way to a honey, fruity flavor. Lightly astringent, biscuity, light fruit and flowers, not very hoppy. Finishes quickly with floral maltiness. Medium body, incrementally building and faint hops in the finish eventually. Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2005 Deep gold with a rocky, creamy white head. Bright and sweet, floral and fruity hop aroma. Zesty hop flavours in the body make this a very pleasant session ale.
