Nice moderate malty aroma, with a lot of hopp and a touch of citrus. The appearence is OK with good mostly lasting head. The Flavour is nice and hoppy, and with average duration. I like this beer. This beer was 4,4 vol%

Rerate April 2008: Has lost a lot under Scottish and Newcastle. Fings aint wot they used to be. Still very sessionable but a shadow of its former self. Original rate: Classic Scottish-style IPA. It poured a burnished gold colour with a 1cm head. The nose is majestic: bursting with Goldings hops and fresh fruit, plus some restrained malt. A quenching session ale. Lots of fruit and malt in the front and middle, and a gentle dry finish. (Bottle)

Bottle; Bright amber color with white head. Aroma of fruit, sweet malt, and maybe a hint of diacetyl (but definitely not too much). Taste is surprisingly good for a bottled, filtered ale of such modest strength. It has a malty backbone supported by some bitterness. Finishes dry. Heavily carbonated and maybe a bit watery. Rerate 1/5/05: Soft carbonation and less watery - palate upped to a ’4’.

Good hop presence, suprisingly fruity and smooth, could use a higher alcohol content to balance it out a bit, but definitely an excellent session beer.

.Light in colour. Quite mild, but very pleasant with floral and fruity hints, an excellent session beer.
