Pale yellow, good creamy head. A bit sticky harsh hoppy nose. Mild, even a bit sweet flavor. In the finish some grassy hoppyness. Not much IPA. (To be rerated). Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jul 24, 2006 This is an absolutely lousy IPA. It is a rather nice bitter, but no one who has ever tasted an appropriately hopped IPA would confuse this with one. And if you are brewing a bitter, what is the possible good of calling it an IPA?! Some brewer needs a dope slap. On to the notes... <!-- br --> <!-- br -->Cask at the Eagle & Child. Pale copper with a small layer of fine white foam. Lots of ripe fruit in the aroma, a little minty. Very clean and bright. Pleasant mouthfilling fruity yeast character, lively and interesting. A touch of toasted grain in the finish. Nice soft palate with a balanced sweetness. A very pleasant bitter. One thing lacking? Enough hops to make it an IPA! destroye7 (304), Melbourne, Australia

I got this cask ale at tThe Nag’s Head Pub in Manchester. A little different than most of the bitters I tried (I know its an IPA). Closer to the american craft beers that I like. bluevegie (2222), Perth, Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2006 May 06. Lemony golden body, white head, lacing. Lovely citrus taste, compared to what I have been drinking it was nice to notice the hops once again. Smooth, can see why it is in a lot ot pubs. Slipped down a treat but would stop at half a dozen or so. Finn (1510), Tromsø, Norway
