Cask, Crown, Carlisle. Strong caramel aroma and taste, has lost some of the Caledonian diacetyl, still quite sharp and bitter. No longer the burnt caramel flavour that used to dominate and quite tart towards the end. Not a patch on what it used to be.

Thick creamy off-white head; light amber body; slight flavor of hops; weak finish. Not bad but did not enjoy it much after Kelburn Dark Moor.

Cask at tGBBF 2009. Pours a lovely gold with a fine off-white head. Aroma is firm floral hops with some citrus and light malt. Flavor is grassy, citrusy hops with some malt, biscuit, and light in the finish.

Pours golden, clear, a minimal head, white foam, citrus bouquet. Tasty fresh and hoppy bitternes. No carbonation - an aquired taste. A long friendship started in a pub in Oxford two years ago.

Draft in Edinburgh. Pretty good. Mild but satisfying taste, suitably rich with a very pleasant finish. Creamy head reminded me of KIlkenny. Irish ale meets IPA.
