Cask, light amber coloured beer with no carbonation and a medium creamy white head. Sweeter fruity aroma with a full creamy smouth palate. Finish is bitter, light fruity hoppy touched with some herby, vanilla touches. Very special one, but misses some finishing touches.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Hazy yellow colour, tiny white head. Hoppy aroma, sweet flavours of malts and fruits. Finishes with a nice hop bitterness.

Draught, various locations over the years. Never had a satisfactory pint of this. Typical under-hopped Scottish beer. Malt is pretty much the only detectable characteristic in either aroma or taste. Sickly hints of caramel. Half decent body but that doesn’t rescue it from the depths of blandness - I’d walk barefoot over broken glass to avoid this.

Cask @ Bow bar, Scotland. Aroma has toffee and citrus. Slightly hazy, yeellow coloured beer with a white head. Taste is a bit sweet with some flowery hops and fruits. Some butter.

Draught @ The Windmill (Wetherspoons Stansted airport) Second best of the seven cask ales I had during my visit in England, maybe I would have rated it higher if it was served in a "more genunie" environment...

Hand drawn pint at Atholl Arms in Glasgow. Light gold under thin white head. Lemony nose with light carbonation. No real palate, some malt, some hops. This is no IPA.

Cask@Peterborough Beer Festival, 2008. Golden beer with a well hopped and dry aroma. The flavour is plainly dry. Overall a nice dry and hopped beer.
