Pours pale yellowish with a creamy head.
Taste is hoppy, lemony and bitter. I like that this is not nearly as bitter & heavily hopped as other IPAs possibly as it is quite low ABV.
Enjoyable pint. greenmanalishi (299), Leicestershire, England

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2008 In the dark days of the Scottish beer scene when dinosaurs like Tartan Special, Tennents Lager and McEwans Export ruled the Earth, this beer arrived like a breath of fresh air. These days it seems to be one of the standards in any half-decent Scottish pub. I guess that’s progress, but I wonder how much has been lost as production swelled to meet demand. It was one of my regular go-to beers in the early 1990s, but catching up with it again on a visit to Scotland in 2008 was a bit like seeing an old girlfriend to whom the years have not been kind. It’s still eminently drinkable but no longer a beer to seek out. It’s sweet and malty, with the low bitterness that is typical of Scottish ales. The light gold colour hints at orange but is still light for the style. Good head retention. Sweet, malty aroma with underlying lemony hops. Bready middle with honey notes and a quenching floral finish. (Draught at various locations in Edinburgh and Fife) joshwilfong (797), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, the body is light. sleepylopes (314), New York, USA
