Cask at the Strawberry, Newcastle. The mis-named "IPA" is pale golden in colour with a floral aroma. The palate is fairly thin and gassy but the flavour has pleasant citrus fruit and some sweetness. I’ve had this better in the past; I think its wide availability is making it more bland.

Golden colored, little yellow head. Apple dominates this sweet and fruity-lemony aroma, some grains also here. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also fruity with some hops, still not too IPAish. Aftertaste dries with some apple still, some soapy palate in aftertaste.

On Cask at Old Bell, London. A contained IPA start, that then kicks in. Speeds up into prickly, chalky mouthfeel. Nice hoppy flavour. Some caramel. Medium hops taste. Enjoyable.

Cask-conditioned at the Lion, Cliftonwood Bristol. Pale gold with a slight white head. Aroma of citrus and earthy hops with a touch of sweet malt. Flavour began with a touch of caramel before hops took over. The finish was dry. Good.

Small white lasting head. Yellow body. Light resiny earthy aroma with fruity notes. Light resiny hoppy earthy pea-like taste. Soft, chalky mouthfeel. Dry throughout. Aftertaste is the same. A bit watery. Ok, but a bit boring. (0.5pt cask at the Island Queen.)

Cask at the Oxford, near Kentish Town tube station.
Golden coloured, small white head, buttery nose. Malty and floral aroma with fruity notes. After more that two years trying to get this beer I’ve finally found it...huge letdown.

[656-20070922] Cask @ Masons Arms (Headington, OX). Grassy light caramel and spice aroma. Clear, orange yellow body with small quick foamy white bubbles. Floral toffee flavour has influences of vanilla, fruit, thyme and lightly spiced yellow candy canes. Medium body. Nothing to knock your socks off but quite repeatable.
Overheard: "This one tastes like leprechauns!"
