Draught (Carlton Arms, Cambridge) listed at 3.5% Light golden colour, little head. Sharp, slightly sour aroma, citrus and a few vegetables. Starts sweet and malty, builds up with a pleasant bitterness. Slightly sour , end of barrel?, but not too noticable. Short but pleasant hoppy finish.

Cask in Drymen: Deep golden with a persistent white head; strong fruity, really Riesling-like nose (apricots, peaches) with distinctive hoppy edges; solid dry bitter flavour, light bodied; lingering vinous and hoppy finish. Superb, tasty and well balanced stuff, hard to believe that this beer has only 3.8% ABV.............

Draught at some pub in Heathrow. The aroma is faintly hoppy. An unenjoyable touch to this beer. Musty... Lots of white bread-like elements in the finish. To my taste this beer wasn’t good at all. Very drinkable though. (3,8% ABV is quite low for an IPA?!)

Cask at The Falcon, Clapham Junction, London. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size lasting white head. Nice aroma of floral hops, the hoppiest aroma on this trip yet. Slightly watery flavour of floral hops well balanced by malt and with a short bitter finish. Average bodied. Always nice to find an IPA here in England, an enjoyable one at that. Not bad at all.

Pint from the Isand Queen, N1. Very yellow, light body, nice foamy head. Very sweet for an IPA giving way to some hops and a sweet finish. Ok but not brilliant.

EDI Airport, not the best specimen I am afraid, warm bordering on hot, skunky and bitter. Not impressed too much, however I did finish the pint so it can’t have been that bad!

Rerate. Cask at Edinburgh beer festival. Absolutely awful in every respect. Pity because the other time i had this beer it was nice. Do they have no quality control at all?
