Aroma gives pure sulphur and cali hops. Taste also has some sulphur in it, sweet and unbalanced with that cali taste kicking about in it.

Light in color, despite the name. Mellow fruity hops and mildly bitter, clean finish. Average at best.

Didn’t think this was actually all that dark, and it had a rather creamy taste. The alcohol isn’t all that well-hidden.

Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Caramelly biscuity malts with some nuttiness and a little yeast leading into a creamy sweet caramel body with a light smattering of bittering hops in the finish. A bit sweet for me.

Cask Conditioned, at the Market Porter, Borough, London.
Tawny amber colour with a misty beige head. Sulphurous and sugar malt aroma. But this beer drinks surprisingly well. A solid bitter with a few variations to keep the crowds guessing.

Bigger body than some Scots. Very fresh, and an oh so typical alcohol warming, but slightly more subtle than in others. In fact, everything here, the maltiness up front, the alcohol, is kinda mellow. The only thing more I can say regarding the refreshing authenticity of this ale is ’Aye, Captain, we need more dilithium crystals...’
