Now this is the type of ale i like to see on cask, however 6.4% is a bit hardcore for most drinkers. Aroma is caledonian haps with a good malty, light spiciness. Taste is malty with balancing hops, with a refreshing light sweetness, and a lightest wee tough of alcohol to warm you a little. An excellent ale from cali and im glad we have 22 gallons of it in the cellar right now. johndoughty (2167), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

Dark amber with a reddish tint, very pretty. Clear and filtered with a small, creamy head. Sweetish with a lovely, full, malty body with notes of caramel and nuts. And as with most Scotch ales there isn’t much bitterness in this. Excellent. 190405 aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
