I think this was the softer one in the session, or maybe the second one, but anyway, was dark amber and refreshing, good one, not booring.

Wetherspoons beer fastival. Now this is the type of ale i like to see on cask, however 6.4% is a bit hardcore for most drinkers. Aroma is caledonian haps with a good malty, light spiciness. Taste is malty with balancing hops, with a refreshing light sweetness, and a lightest wee tough of alcohol to warm you a little. An excellent ale from cali and im glad we have 22 gallons of it in the cellar right now.

Reddish black with a bite. Sweet but not overpoweringly so.A pleasant and well balanced Scotch ale.

Red-brown with white firm but unsteady head. Roasted aroma with notes of acetone, ginger snaps, malt, cough syrup, licorice, pears and spices. Hard roasted flavor with notes of bitter chocolate, coffee, fruits and apples. Almost burned malt notes. Dry with decent bitterness.

(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Caledonian Edinburgh Tattoo Strong Ale". Dark amber with a reddish tint, very pretty. Clear and filtered with a small, creamy head. Sweetish with a lovely, full, malty body with notes of caramel and nuts. And as with most Scotch ales there isn’t much bitterness in this. Excellent. 190405

Somewhat nutty and grassy nose with little malt or hop presence on the palate. Slight citrus and paper at the finish unbalanced.
