Apr 3, 2005 From working in my bar iv found it to be one of my favourates when it comes in, though loses flavour and becomes particularly flat quickly. Refreshing though.

Sep 1, 2003 Bottled, Pasteurised. Ruby red in colour. Malty juicy nose and initial flavour, resin flavour on the hops is quite off putting. Highly carbonated.

May 17, 2002 Very well balanced, but quite thin. You can taste the rye. A dark amber color with a large bubbly head. Raisins and spice along with some toasty malt flavors.

May 12, 2004 A rather curious beer, but not unpleasant, if not really to my taste. Reddish copper colour. Malt and fruit dominate and it starts out quite dry (without being bitter), but finishes soft and a little sweet. There are quite a lot of elements here, but they don’t knit together perfectly. May 13, 2005 Cask conditioned - handpump - JDW Northampton. A dark brown beer with a slight ruby hue. The aroma has some fruit, some mocha but also some typical Caledonian diacetyl. The taste is malty with caramel, coffee and more diacetyl. Could be really good but let down by signature notes.
