| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2004 A rather curious beer, but not unpleasant, if not really to my taste. Reddish copper colour. Malt and fruit dominate and it starts out quite dry (without being bitter), but finishes soft and a little sweet. There are quite a lot of elements here, but they don’t knit together perfectly. The aroma has some fruit, some mocha but also some typical Caledonian diacetyl. The taste is malty with caramel, coffee and more diacetyl. Could be really good but let down by signature notes.
