Pale gold with a fine white creamy head and loads of lively conditioning. Tasted as fresh as it looked with a scottish maltiness and a subtle hoppy bitter finish. Fin (3382), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Nov 11, 2007 Cask at the Penny Black, Bicester, JDW, 11-11-07 Poured light golden good clarity with a thin white head. Nice fresh tasting beer something vegetabley about it?? but tastes good there’s something here that I cannot quite put my finger, but I like it. hughie (3018), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Nov 11, 2007 Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford, Wetherspoons Festival ’07. Hazy gold with a small white head. Buttery malt aroma. The taste is intensely sweet and buttery with berry fruits. Slight bitterness. Interesting, arcane, but ultimately unsuccessful. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Nov 7, 2007 A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks. Clean gold with a reasonable white head. Sadly it’s all downhill from there. Diacetyl kills everything that is mildy decent. Slight burnt malt with a hoppy finish but it’s just extremely buttery and close to awful in all honesty. Gethinbeer (995), Nova Scotia, Canada May 20, 2007 Fruit, scent aroma. Not too strong. Deep golden appearance with a creamy head. Rich smooth taste, fruit, hops and wheat. Clean taste. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Mar 5, 2007 An amber coloured brew, with a light fruity nose mellow tones and tangy orangy flavours
