Bottle: Flat darker gold in colour. Clean malty aroma, with a touch of caramel and fruit. Flavour is bland malt, finish a little sweet and cloying. Not great.

Bottle. Hazy amber pour with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture. Light sweet malty flavor with a small bitter finish of moderate duration. Drinkable with a soft sweet ending.

Thanks to Maniac for providing this one. The first beer I’ve ever had that claimed to be vegan. What, no fish bladders used as fining agents here? In any case, medium gold, OK head. Slight fruit and earthy hop aroma, faint. Flavor was faintly of grain and some more earthy hops. Not bad, but really just not much going on here. Could potentially be far better if consumed fresh on cask.

Golden body with a light white head and low carbonation, although there is continued bubbling. Grainy aroma, very light hops. Delicate body, light hops with some malts. Bland ending, nothing too outstanding.

Clear dark golden colour, lasting thin head. Honey scent, a little hops but not enough to give it a punch. Rather bland flavour with somewhat untasty aftertones, uninteresting palate.

Pours golden coloured with a thick foamy white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma, somewhat citric. Spicy, yeasty flavour with notes of honey, toffee and butter. Decent bitterness in finish.

Caledonian Organic Premium Ale bewed esclusively for the Co-op... Doughy, raw flour, malt forward and lightly fruity aroma has some herbal and grassy hop notes. Clear pale copper coloured body is topped by a low, white head that lasts well and leaves some patchy lace. Caramel malts, herbal grassy hops and fair bitterness that lingers. Medium body is somewhat slick despite moderately lively carbonation. Pint glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (BB 04-Apr-07, Co-op in Ottery St. Mary, May-06).
