50cl from Willow Bend Liquors (Florida). Pours a cloudy dark golden with a thin white head that gracefully laces the glass. Aroma: faint hints of honey, bread, yeast, some faint spices. Watery mouthfeel with a very odd collection of flavors. Hints of honey, caramel but no really strong flavors. Has a slightly sticky, bready aftertaste.

bottle - Pours hazy dull gold with a very thin head and not much carbonation. Old bottle? I bought it very recently, but I couldn’t find a date on it, so who knows. The aroma is yeasty malt. The flavor is sweet malt that’s very recognizable as an English malt. It reminded me of a much lighter version of the strong cellar ready English ales like Thomas Hardy or JW Lees Harvest right down to the minimal carbonation. Of course this one isn’t as good either. The flatness (in both carbonation and flavor) and the almost cloying sweetness definitely didn’t do it for me. Very disappointing.

Okay then. We’ve got ourselves a vegan friendly beer here. Organic, of course. I love the cap too. Definitely a keeper. Pours a foggy gold. No lasting head after a quick hit of some, but nice lacing on the top before I have taken a sip. Nose is odd. Woody and oddly antiseptic. Kind of the character I have pulled off some lambics, but never an EPA. Weird. Flavor is okay. Kind of tastes like wet wood, but not in a good way. Seems almost cask-ish, but no real level of maturity that a cask could deliver. Hmmm. I get a touch of vanilla all of the sudden. Feel has a decent but fairly low carbonation to it. The liquid feel is not very good. Overall this is just an okay ale. Sure it might go over well with the less informed vegans, but for real ale lovers, I doubt this is going to make an impact. If you pass on this one, don’t feel bad.

Deeply hazy honey gold with a decent dense white head. Malty bready aroma with floral notes. Doughy malts and a kiss of sweet clover, very drinkable and delicious.

500 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours a slightly hazy copper-gold color with a one finger sudsy white head that lingers. Plenty of lacing left in the glass as I drink it down. The aroma is medium in strength with grass, herbs and hay. The flavor is a bit unusual; there is something that sorts resembles carrots, plus, hay, malted barley and a nice bit of grassy hops. The mouthfeel is full, heavy, and satisfying. The finish is short and clean. Overall: I’m not really familiar with this style of beer, but based on this sample--I kinda like it. Not much in the way of big bold flavors, but it has a farmhouse appeal that reminds me of a Saison. Should pair well with fish and poultry. Recommended.

pours a hazy gold with a small white head. caramel malt aroma. flavor is much of the same as aroma. nice, crisp, fresh palate. a little "heavy" for a golden ale though. this is quite malty and medium bodied. nice dry hoppy finish. a good one.

Bottle. Poured a clean golden colour with medium off-white head. The aroma is bready, light floral. The taste is medium sweet, floral, bready, light orange, light spice. A very clean beer.
