Toasted grain flavor and a delectable dry-hopped finish makes this beer real treat. Slightly oxidized cardboard flavor probably from long journey from UK to Pacific NW. Still as solid beer.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2007 WFM sample. Interesting hop and citrus nose. Taste is subdued hops with a strange off staleness. Lemon and orange notes, but mostly off-putting. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 7, 2007 Bottle, Co-op. Pale copper pour, nice off-white cap. Fresh floral hops, fresh grass, gentle bright pear esters. A nice clean open air kind of smell. Interesting round warming malt tone that seems kind of lager-like. Pleasant, but not what I expected. A nice balance of hops, though their contribution initially seems more bitterness than flavor. With a little warming, some tangerine emerges. Fairly gentle carbonation for a force-carbonated beer. A touch of pith in the finish. Lots of good things going on in this. Not sure why it’s rating seem so abysmal. nick76 (2694), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 6, 2007 The aroma is watery and malty with some light floral and citrus hops. The appearance is milky gold with a two finger head. The palate is thin. The flavor is unusual but not really bad. For an organic beer this one is rather metallic and soapy with a citrus hop finish. This is not what I was expecting but hey it’s better than most of the mainstream beers people are drinking. cgarvieuk (4225), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 23, 2007 (Bottle) Pours amber. Nice malty aroma with mostly bread but also some toasted sugar notes with toffee and fudge. Light fruity with hints of hops. Grass/hay and hints of funky herbs. Malty, light fruity flavour with some bread and hops. Lightly dry. Some herbs in the flavour as well. Over all, very sweet wort tasting. Egon (400), Gothenburg, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy, golden color with disappearing white head. Aroma with some smell of hay and a taste of citrus? Some bitterness in aftertaste Quite good overall but you can find better ales. I prefer a more distinct taste, this is quite smooth.
