| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Trader Joe’s. The nice thing about Trader Joe’s beers is that I have had very few of them, so my wife usually grabs one to take home to me, knowing it is about the only way she can typically find a brew I haven’t had before. Which is cool. Deep gold or light amber, take your pick, quite clear, decent head faded away entirely. Aroma of buttered bread and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet, bready malts, a bit of honey, butter, and earthy hops very faintly on the finish. More of a light end of the Scottish Ale spectrum than a golden or blonde. Not bad, drinkable, but not great. The diacetyl might be a bit much for some folks. thegreenrooster (1831), St.louis, Missouri, USA

The aroma is bready and grainy with a dollop of honey and some drying grass bitterness. It tastes of honeyed bread with an herbal/grassy bitterness. Crisp finish, slightly dry.
