Commercial Description:
Bottled, Occasional;
Start with malted barley grown in the fields of Scotland where wind and rain meet a strong brewing tradition. Then hops lend that full flavor and distinctive fragrant aroma of well-hopped beers. Then, add in the fact that the ingredients are organic. Notice the golden color and signature clean, crisp taste of this world-class pale ale. The fine pale ale in this beer is not only recognized as one of the finest organic ales in the world, it is also vegan friendly. Slainte!

Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours with an average sized off-white head, over a clear deep gold body. Head fades in about 45 seconds, leaving little lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of corn, sugar, bread, grain and soil. Not much character, but not real off-aromas either. Taste is dirt, honey, bread with a somewhat bitter finish. Fizzy and dryish.

Purchased at Trader Joes for $3! Wow, what a deal. A man passing by me made a special note as to how great this beer is, so I decided to give it a try. Slight brown/orange color. Looks decent. Has a nice malt aroma. Almost a butter like malt aroma. I guess many of you would call this last point a "bready" aroma. Not a very pungent beer, but pungent enough to smell. Nice smooth palate; I was surprised by this. Very big malty taste, that follows the aroma well. Overall, a nice beer with a nice malt flavor. Not bad for $3, but after this one taste I feel that I am ok not to try this again.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Bready, malty aroma with light grass and light woodsiness. Caramel and malt flavor with grass and light earth. Medium bodied. Caramel and light earth lingers with some light woodsiness.

Pours light amber with a fairly small off white head. Aroma is faint, but mainly of sweet malts. Taste is sweet and malty with a slightly bitter finish. Not bad and very easy drinking.

Hoppy aroma, muted taste. Not particularly unique or flavorful, and extremely overpriced.

Not Bad This beer has a great taste,which has a spicy tone to it. the flothy white head quicky vanished to a very thin whisp. Found it at the Trader Joes Store in Glen Ellyn Illinois.

Tan-amber with thin but resilient head. Aroma of grains and some sweet malt. Flavor is simple graininess, some caramel sweetness, with lack of hops. Crisp and clean, but bland and boring. Straight-forward blond ale.

Bottle from Trader Joe’s; Poured a bronzed copper color, with just a quick fizzle of carbonation. The aroma is somewhat funky, grassy perhaps. It drinks with a soda-like mouthfeel, tightly bubbly. Not much of a strong character to describe, just a moderately malty flavor and a acidic grassiness over the top. (#3494, 2/13/2009)
