This beer has a great taste, which has a spicy tone to it.
the flothy white head quicky vanished to a very thin whisp.
Found it at the Trader Joes Store in Glen Ellyn Illinois.

The nose is quite crackery with a little bit of light orange peel. There is a really nice marmalade-like sweetness. A kiss of earthy hoppiness with a lingering cologne-like spiciness. Nice balance with a touch of soft fruitiness mingling with the crackery sweetness. I quite like this. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA

Smells like a hop firecracker. Lighter flavors of caramel and wet grass. Mild, creamy palate. On the whole, not too bad. Drinkable and not without character. nuplastikk (1252), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2009 500ml bottle from Trader Joe’s. Suspect generic label all the way. Filtered orange-tan color. Thin fruity malt body, quite drinkable, with a thinly bitter bite. Pretty authentic tasting stuff to get stateside weirdly enough. The light toasty malt is quite nice really, very clean. I was all ready to go on a Trader Joe’s bash session, but this is alright stuff. Not gonna blow your socks off, certainly not world class, but certainly a decent beer. A man passing by me made a special note as to how great this beer is, so I decided to give it a try. Slight brown/orange color. Looks decent. Has a nice malt aroma. Almost a butter like malt aroma. I guess many of you would call this last point a "bready" aroma. Not a very pungent beer, but pungent enough to smell. Nice smooth palate; I was surprised by this. Very big malty taste, that follows the aroma well. Overall, a nice beer with a nice malt flavor. Not bad for $3, but after this one taste I feel that I am ok not to try this again. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA

Bready, malty aroma with light grass and light woodsiness. Caramel and malt flavor with grass and light earth. Medium bodied. Caramel and light earth lingers with some light woodsiness. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 6, 2009 Amber with a slightly loose off white head. Aroma is light caramel, and faint hops, light malt. Taste is a fruity maltiness, light caramel. Pretty bland but the body made it a drinkable session. The somewhat generic label graphics made me think this might be a Trader Joe’s brand beer. But no, this is a commercial beer brand. This bottle is labeled to show USDA Organic certs. Has a big grassy and grainy smell when opened. Pours golden to amber, with a thick cream colored, spongy head. I like the taste more than others on this page; it’s closer to a pale ale than a blond. Earthy, spicy hop bitterness over a full on golden malt. Well, I agree it seems to need a bit more toast to add some dimension. But this is among the better organic beers and better blond ales I’ve found. Actually from the Trader Joe’s in Downers Grove, but not worth adding another chain location.
