Then, add in the fact that the ingredients are organic. Notice the golden color and signature clean, crisp taste of this world-class pale ale. The fine pale ale in this beer is not only recognized as one of the finest organic ales in the world, it is also vegan friendly. Slainte!

50cl bottle. Trader Joe’s, Roswell, GA. Pours clear golden color, off-white foamy head. Aroma of seaweed, sourdough, and sweet malt. Vegetable flavor with an earthy cereal character. Finifhes with a pine straw flavor all wrapped up in a watery textued ale. $2.99 for this organic offering, not such a bad deal.

Bottle shared by peregrinari: Transparent deep golden with a frothy, well-lacing off-white head. Aroma of semi-sweet toasty pale malt with some grassy English hops and light oxidation. Starts with a lightly sugary sweetness and some grassy hop bitterness before a drier, thin finish. Pretty bland, but drinkable.

500 ml. bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours a medium white head, with heavy lacing, over a slightly cloudy golden (SRM 5-6) body....nose is mild malts (bready, biscuit) with a bit of hop spice......taste is light toffee, cereal (Grapenuts) with a light hop bitter finish....mouth feel is soft and light, carbonation medium. This is slightly lower in hop character than some of the other English Pale Ales I have tasted, but if one gives it the "Scottish" take of lower hops, it is quite pleasant.

Bottle sampled at the DC Local tasting. Pours a pale yellow with a frothy white head. Someone at the tasting said, "it smells like rotting vegetables." Earthy, musty in the nose too. Flavor is a little better, citrus hops, grass, a little honey. Finish is watery. Kinda terrible.

Pale golden pour with a thick, sticky white head. The nose is quite crackery with a little bit of light orange peel. There is a really nice marmalade-like sweetness. A kiss of earthy hoppiness with a lingering cologne-like spiciness. Nice balance with a touch of soft fruitiness mingling with the crackery sweetness. I quite like this.

Pours a clear amber with a thick but not persistent white head. The bottle fizzed like nobody’s business when I opened it. Aroma is crisp and malty with just a hint of banana, not very strong. Flavor is rather wan, malty and without complexity though there is a nicely bitter undertone. Texture is smooth and just a little tingly.
