A simple dry, malty beer with some fruitiness and toffee and caramel flavours. Boring. (Cask @ Wetherspoons, Cambridge)

Cask Conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Pale gol with thin short head. Badly kept beer, little condition and overcold, surprising that there was any character left, but struggling through it all a little zesty hoppy beer came through. Do I mark the condition or the beer? I upped it slightly.

Cask-conditioned. Lagery malt aroma and flowery hops with some soapiness. Peach and soft fruit flavours, sweet with growing bitterness. Not sure it would work with haggis. Almost works for me but not quite.

JDW London & Rye, Catford. Pleasant fresh citric rush - pineapples, melons, etc. Very juuicy with a mild pale malt sweetness. Pushing into an American Pale Ale style. Nothing special, but still quite tasty.
