Sep 2, 2009 A dark brown porter with cherry hues and a thick moka head. in aroma, a strong butterscotch and chocolate, with some coffee notes. In mouth, a bit of herbal hops, chocolate, and butterscotch, light bodied. On tap at brewpub, August 17, 2009.

Jan 19, 2009 Dark brown color with ruby glints. Decent tan head. Aroma is primarily coffee. Medium body with sharply creamy carbonation. Flavor is coffee over dark toasted malt. Chocolate is a minor feature. There’s hop bitter to go with the toast. Very decent porter.

Jan 2, 2009 Tap at the brewpub. Deep brown body with red at the edges. A thick, yellowish khaki head topped it. The aroma was milk chocolate with some light coffee and almonds. The taste was milk chocolate with some mocha. A nice roasted finish. Decent.

Mar 18, 2008 I had this 5(?) years ago when I stayed in Calistoga with my wife. Nice beer. I remember it being very toasty and having some nice java and mocha flavors. I think I tried 4 beers at dinner there and this one was one of the 2 that I really liked.

Mar 17, 2007 Roasted malt nose, deep dark opaque brown color, low tight head. Slight chocolate in the body at first, deep burnt flavor emerges. Dry coffee end, thinish body. A little too roated, but fun to drink.
