Commercial Description:
This American-Style red ale is craft-brewed with a blend of eight distinctive malts to yield a beer that’s rich in both body and color. A delicate blend of Chinook, Centennial and Cascade hops is used to balance the subtle malty sweetness. Our specialty brewer’s yeast contributes to the fruitiness of the ale and its rich and frothy head.

A reddish copper ale with a thick moka head. In aroma, light nutty malt. In mouth, a light silky biscuitty malt, with some herbal notes, butterscotch, light bodied. On tap at brewpub, August 17, 2009.

Draft at the brewpub. Red tinged amber color with a decent beige head. Roasted caramel aroma. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is a mix of citrus and dark red roasted caramel/malt. Finish is dry and decently bitter. Agree with YogiBeera.

Caramel and tea nose with a touch of biscuit and nuts. Good lacing with a soft mouthfeel. More tea and caramel on th epalate with a semi clean finish.

Smells slightly of tree bark. Dark chesnut color, low tight head. Toasted malt, almost smokey at times. Dry tight woody end. Off balance, but holds together for the most part. Good enough to wash down a pizza, but not so interesting otherwise.

At the brewpub. IMO their best beer. Roasted malt taste. Red color, small head. Long lasting - well bodied. Decent!

Lots of malt and alcohol are apparent in this brew. Full bodied, strong. I don’t detect much of the hops that are noted in the description though.
