Commercial Description:
You'll love it or hate it; no in-betweens. An excellent wheat beer for drinking on a hot day. The typical phenolic banana flavor of wheat ales is not evident. The blueberry flavor is slightly sweet without being cloying, with an interesting light overtone of black pepper. The finish is a lingering sensation, best done repeatedly.

Draft. Straw colored beer with a cream colored head. Aroma of blueberry muffins. Blueberry and light wheat flavor. Medium bodied. Blueberry lingers with light malt/wheat. Interesting enough.

On tap at Callahans; had it previously at SDBC, but didn’t know who made it at the time. ARoma of perfume and blueberry. Color was clear gold. Flavor was sweet, blueberry and wheat, with something akin to vanilla. Solid for style.

(11/5/08) Draught sample at the San Diego Brewing Co. in San Diego. Clear pale golden color with no head. Nice aroma of ripe blueberrie, slightly acidic. Sweetish artificial flavor of blueberries, saccharine, gummy bears notes, a bit of wheaty notes and hints of acidity. Light-bodied. Smells quite good but that’s it.

On tap at the San Diego Brew Pub. Their selection of house beers sucked sooo bad, they had to fill in the sampler with an outside beer. Poured a medium yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of blueberry muffins, and some wheatiness. Tastes of lighter blueberries with stronger wheat - opposite of the aroma. Sad as it was, this was the best they gave me - better than any of their house beers.

Tap at San Diego Brewing Co. Hazy pale straw coloured beer with a thin white head. Aroma is herbal with a light blueberry aroma over a very light spicy wheaty maltiness. A little bit of grassy straw-like flavour. Dusty and a little bit sweet. Soft and fruity and not bad really.

On draft at San Diego Brewing Company. I question that I was given the correct beer. I did not detect any blueberry in the flavor. It was very mild and boring. A weak wheat, with or without the blueberry taste.

~Pours a pale yellow color with small white head. ~Strong blueberry scent with some wheat. ~Starts off a tart blueberry flavor and finishes with a mellow wheaty flavor. ~Light fizzy feel ~Not my cup of tea. I don’t care for the candy blueberry tatse. I guess it’s good for what it tries to be.
