Commercial Description:
You'll love it or hate it; no in-betweens. An excellent wheat beer for drinking on a hot day. The typical phenolic banana flavor of wheat ales is not evident. The blueberry flavor is slightly sweet without being cloying, with an interesting light overtone of black pepper. The finish is a lingering sensation, best done repeatedly.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a clear gold color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that diminishes rapidly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of blueberry with touches of wheat and malt. Light-bodied and fruity with flavors of sweet blueberries and malt, with mild wheat and spice undertones. The finish is fruity and short. Just average overall.

On tap @ San Diego Brew Co. Pours clear golden with a medium, fizzy head, some lacing. Nose was big on blueberries and not much else, pale malt perhaps. Clean and refreshing.

tap at San Diego Brewing Co. - It says "Callahan’s", but the bartender told me SDBC makes it. About all I can say about this one is that it’s a blueberry bomb. It smells like blueberries. It tastes like blueberries. They’re dumped into a light wheat beer. The fruit isn’t completely overwhelming and the beer is indeed refreshing. It could certainly be better though.

On tap at SDbrewing. Clar golden pour with a tinge of amber no head or lace. Huge nose of blueberry. You can smell it from a foot away. Clean BB flavor very sweet. NO bitter to speak of. No carbonation but it is pretty solid besides that. Another surprise, solid aroma and flavor make it a easy drinker. It had less carbonation than even I like.

Drank this at San Diego Brewing Company. Not what I was expecting which was a pleasent surprise. Almost golden pour. Strong creamy blueberry aroma and flavor. Also had a chance to visit with the head brewer Dean Rouleau. A great guy to go with the great beers being served. I would recomend this as well as the Choco-Latte Porter and Hopnotic IPA.

Another great one from SDBC. I have had many bad fruit beers, but this is one of the best I have ever had. Nice clear straw color with some head. Blueberry aroma but not overwhelming. Perfectly balanced blueberry taste. Not syrupy but still precent.
