The beer itself is golden-yellow (to be expected. The taste is initially very sweet, which is a bit odd for what I thought would be a golden ale. The taste is not complex at all with only the slightest hint of hops and more sweetness. Nothing too special about this brew. papajohn (1055), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA

Shamrock Gold is a light golden pale ale with a mild sweet start and only a hint of hops in the finish. This is a good session beer and an excellent introduction to the world of craft brews for the uninitiated lager drinker. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
