| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2003 Updated: Jan 7, 2004This was actually my second craft/micro brew (2/13/02), the first was Yellowtail Ale. Shamrock Gold is a light golden pale ale with a mild sweet start and only a hint of hops in the finish. This is a good session beer and an excellent introduction to the world of craft brews for the uninitiated lager drinker. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2003 Had on tap at Callahan's on March 5, 2003 The beer starts out with a very slight head and a weak aroma. The beer itself is golden-yellow (to be expected. The taste is initially very sweet, which is a bit odd for what I thought would be a golden ale. The taste is not complex at all with only the slightest hint of hops and more sweetness. Nothing too special about this brew. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
