Black with a brownish-white head. Aroma: not very complex: roasted malt and caramel. Taste: overly sweet, caramel. Not very enjoyable, if you ask me.

Dark brown coloured beer with medium off-white head. Sweet aroma mixed with some roasts. Full sweet palate. Finish is sweet (pure sugar) ending more herby. Too sweet to be good.

33cl, from De Bierloods Adegem, not complex sweet Stout, yet easy to drink, balanced, hazy, rocky head, nothing special

Nearly black beer with amber highlights, dirty-beige head, irregular. Syrupy nose with molasses, brown candi sugar, tinned dark mushrooms or bamboo shoots. Sweet, with a small sourish lining (that rather refers to CO², than to roasted malts), molasses and some coloured malts. Rather fizzy palate, pretty slick and medium bodied. Metallic aftertaste. This is actually a strong tablebeer. Seen in that view, it isn’t even bad.

(BBWE 11/08) Near black colored with huge beige head. Sweet and caramelly, somehow artificially roasted aroma Medium bodied. Flavor is overly sweet with again same extreme artificial chocolate taste, very hard to finish. Aftertaste is sweet still with roastiness and some weird lemony sourness. Don’t like.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours dark brown to black with a diminished tan head. Mild fruity and roasted malty aroma. Sweet malty and light roasted. Light acidic and sweet mixed finish. Strangely sweet somehow.
