Jan 13, 2009 On tap at the brewpub on 08/15/2008. Very clear copper amber body with ruby highlights. Big blackberry and almost cherry aroma. Very sweet blackberry, and almost sour cherry flavor, some light wheat hints. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Sep 7, 2008 On tap at brewery. Golden copper with a fizzy white head. Faint malty aroma and taste with blackberry notes.

Aug 15, 2008 Draft at Cally’s. Pours a surprisingly dark, yet clear brown/amber with a red tint. Nose is very subdued until it warms up a bit where it turns to sweet malt. I actually get more of what seems like raspberry than the blackberry puree that is added, maybe it is some interaction with the wheat that lightens it up and gives me this perception. Probably the fruitiest of cally’s fruit beers, this one does have a bit of sweetness and pure fruit flavor with a somewhat heavy palate. Interesting, just seems a bit conflicted.
